InnoTrans 2024: innovations for inspection and rail joining

InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin proved to be a great success for the Goldschmidt Group! As the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology, InnoTrans has been one of the most important trade fair presences for our globally operating group for many years and at the same time serves as a platform for innovations and groundbreaking developments in the railway industry. From 24 – 27 September this year, we unveiled two new products in the field of rail infrastructure at our exhibition booths. These drew a lot of attention from visitors, customers and media representatives and once again emphasised our vision of the future-proof rail.

Innovation 1: brand-new road-rail inspection vehicle

Innovative road-rail inspection vehicle with comprehensive measuring and testing technology generated great interest at InnoTrans

The innovative road-rail inspection vehicle exhibited in our outdoor area, attracted a large number of visitors. It was developed in collaboration with Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG and will be in operation there from 2025.

Equipped with a variety of innovative inspection technologies, the vehicle collects comprehensive measurement and inspection data around rail and track. In conjunction with the Goldschmidt Dari® software solution, it provides the key and comprehensive insights required to create a sustainable maintenance plan for urban rail infrastructure.

Innovation 2: Battery-powered machine family +S

New and fully battery-powered +S machine family for efficient and emission-free use on the Thermit® construction site

The new and fully battery-powered +S machine family was developed for efficient and emission-free use on the Thermit® construction site and presented in its entirety for the first time at InnoTrans 2024. All +S machines, whether automated preheater, weld shear, profile grinder and web grinder or the compact power unit, can be operated with the same powerful battery from our partner EGO.
